Join us for Billericay’s first Kidical Mass ride
Saturday 14th June has been set for Billericay’s first ever Kidical Mass ride.
Kidical Mass is an international movement allowing families to enjoy cycling on their local roads in a large group that keeps everyone safe from motor traffic. The Billericay Cycling Campaign has organised this event to follow a two mile route starting and finishing at Lake Meadows. The ride departs Lake Meadows at 11am on Saturday 14th June.
Our roads are a public place that everybody has a right to use. Sadly the amount of motor traffic often makes many people feel it is not safe from them to use. Kidical Mass events are designed to remind people of the benefits that having safe access to public roads can bring to everyone. By riding in a group, everyone is safe and everyone benefits.
Please see our facebook page for more details and to sign up.
The event is completely free, there will be marshals and ride leaders to guide everyone. Children must be accompanied by a cycling adult who will remain responsible for their safety. We will be riding on public roads in a large group, or multiple groups depending on numbers on the day.
The map below shows the route we will be taking, please spread the word to anyone who might be interested in taking part.
